Just a 10 minute drive away, park up and stroll up to the famous place on the moors... Wuthering Heights is atmospheric and a great view over the countryside...

Widely reputed to be the inspiration for Wuthering Heights, it doesn't matter if your visit to Haworth has been inspired by the Bronte Sisters or not, you really ought to make the Moors and Top Withens a must visit. Emily Bronte wrote "Make the world stop right here. Make everything Stop and stand still and never move again. Make the moors never change and you and I never change." And the Moors are as intriguing today as they were the day Emily Bronte wrote them.

Any Brontë fan coming to Haworth will want to walk to the farm which was inspiration for Emily’s ‘Wuthering Heights’. It can be walked from the cottage if you make your way up the cobbles and walk past the church. Then follow the signs to Pennistone Hill and keep following them to Brontë waterfall and Top Withens beyond. Sturdy footwear required and do take water and snacks.
