During your stay why not take a lovely stroll through the park to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. You could simply watch the trains or take a trip on a fabulous steam train. The line runs from Haworth to Oxenhope and Keighley. They run special events for steam ‘buffs’ and the general public. Top Withens is reputed to have inspired Emily Bronte’s novel ‘Wuthering Heights’. The ruined farmhouse is within walking distance of the cottage located on the same moors the Bronte’s walked. Directions to The Bronte Waterfall and on to Top Witherns are included in our guest information folder. The information pack in the cottage includes several more local self guided walks for you to try during your stay if you feel so inclined
