Watch boaters pass by or jump in the water for a swim. This location is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. Camping, picnicking or just lounging, beautiful shore front relaxation.

Flathead Lake is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. It is a must visit while in town. The nearest public access to the lake is Wayfarer’s State Park, which has areas for swimming, picnics and a boat launch. There is a day use fee for out of state guests.

Closest and easiest lake access for boating, fishing and swimming. Large boat dock and a decent amount of parking with hiking trails up and down the sides of the hills leading to the lake. There's a handful of picnic sites and shallow swimming areas. Restrooms and trash cans too! Beaches here are rocky, not sandy, so you'll probably want some water shoes.

Great beach for families. Grab a pizza or fried chicken and a watermelon or cherries in Bigfork and enjoy the shallow water and beach. Always a favorite. If you have a Montana license plate, entry to the park is free!
