No worries about whether the TV will wake your host; no sounds of snoring will come through the walls; no need to tippy toe around to keep from bothering light sleepers and there will be no wake-up blast of somebody else's alarm clock! Just sweet, sweet privacy. Lighted parking a few steps from the door makes for safe and easy access, and a four number key code allows for arrival at any hour without concern of disturbing your hosts. If you're lacking something important like a specialty kitchen gadget, personal item or office supply, let me know I'm happy to help! The garage of the Guesthouse cottage serves as my artist (painting) studio, so I am generally working on the premises if you need me. Go for a hike in the surrounding nature, check out some of the breathtaking galleries, and catch a live sporting event or show in the evening. Located in the friendly, walkable neighborhood of Kenton, this ADU is a five minute drive off of I-5, a 5-10 walk to the nearest bus lines and MAX station, and a block-and-a-half away from the central Denver St. commercial zone of Kenton with access to restaurants (Vietnamese, Thai, Mexican, soul food, pizza, pub food), coffee shops, library, and convenience store. Fred Meyer and New Seasons grocery stores are close by. The ADU has a double bed, memory foam mattress, and a white noise machine.

For whatever brings you to Oregon, stay at Mama J’s comfortable, peaceful, safe and convenient spot. Portland is just ten miles away, the closest beaches, Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood are all about an hour, and there are numerous hikes from the forest right down the street to Silver Falls and beyond. Okay, well, it's a stream, but it's all yours to enjoy. For the nature lovers we have deer, beavers, ducks, nutria, fish, etc. (think wetlands). For everyone, the house (duplex) is fully equipped with a fireplace, BBQ, hot tub central gas heat and central AC. This is a bright, clean and cozy space to land for folks who love the suburbs (not in the city city but we are close drive to the city center) but want to be surrounded by nature. With ambient noise from the creek and highway.

Cedar Mill Getaway

The property is located in the NW hills of Portland, AKA Cedar Mill. 6 miles west of downtown portland, 3 miles from Nike campus and just a couple exits from the Oregon Zoo. The home is fully furnished with a stocked kitchen, large driveway with plenty of parking; even for RV’s if necessary. Your hosts may be present in common areas such as the yard and the garage. As well as the basement, which is separate and not included in the listing but otherwise the property is all yours!

Host lives on premises. Not a party house. Please note that the February wind and ice storms destroyed the back yard pond. The back porch is still usable, but has the "beauty" of the destruction of nature and not the beauty of the hard work of creating an elegant landscaped pond.
