Lovely, peaceful weekend away. The Forge was exactly what I needed, perfect space!

This is such a clever conversion of an old forge into a pretty little cottage for a couple. Dogs also welcome. Walk straight from the door down the lane and into Exmoor. The cottage is well equipped and the kitchen area has all you need for a stay.

This was our 4th stay in the Blacksmith’s Cottage and it’s safe to say that it’s become one of our favourite places. So much so that I mentioned it in my vows to my husband when we got married in the summer. We feel so at home here, Victoria is the most loveliest host and it’s in the perfect location if you love walks on the moors or would like to mooch around the independent shops of Tavistock. We love that this cottage is so dog friendly and it makes the most peaceful, cosy getaway at this time of year. Thanks again Victoria! Xx

Cosy, compact cottage in a great location. Helpful friendly hosts just next door. Surprising amount of road noise from lane outside but it was perfect for us for a few days break.
