Right around the corner from the cottage is an excellent, solar-powered, 9-hole golf course. You will come across typical northern Michigan vegetation including birch groves and cattails. Beautiful scenery and you may even see a coyote or two!
What makes this a unique course is that it is the first solar powered golf course in the country. It is a 9 hole course with pretty flowing greens.

A couple of miles away, on the other side of the peninsula, is the “big lake,” Lake Michigan, with its towering dunes and sugar sand beaches.
