Downtown is by far the best spot to get the full Napa experience. There are a ton of wine tasting bars, upscale restaurants, boutique shopping, art sculptures, etc...

Shopping galore. Downtown Napa/First Street and beyond is just a great place to walk and shop. A must for first time visitors. There's Lush cosmetics, Overland, Tommy Bahama, Mecox, and State & First for home decor &clothing. Artist Alley is colorful, with murals by local artists. It's bright&vibrant.
