I love the food in this very casual spot. It’s not a romantic place so probably best for lunch. Every other place I’ve recommended has been in eagle rock. This place is in highland park, which has many good restaurants but this one is my favorite because it’s so authentic. Try a huarache, which is named after a Mexican sandal. Really delicious.

Must try this quaint casual little restaurant located on York Blvd for the best huaraches in town. If you’ve never tried a huarache, it’s a food similar in shape to a sandal, consisting of a fried masa dough base with a topping, typically salsa, potato, meat and/or cheese.
