This wonderful hike is just a few minutes farther west than Camelback Mountain. It also is another short, but steep climb. Not as difficult as Camelback, but still very challenging. The surrounding trail system within the Phoenix Mountain Preserve provides easier hikes with a beautiful experience of our local, desert landscape.

moderate day hike within the city. climb piestawa's steps to reach one of the highest city peaks. i enjoy doing this one later in the evening and coming down at night just before park closure. the parking gates are locked after close

This hike has many different trails ranging from beginner to advanced. All trails have beautiful views. Emily personally hiked this for months every Sunday and didn’t get tired of the views not one bit!
