Wonderful for dogs (before 10 AM and after 5 PM) and families. Parking is not a problem, and is available in small lots at the side of the road as you get close to the beach - permit parking is required right at the beach.
Very pretty ocean views on a walk across the mixed and sandy beach then through the dunes to the other side of the point. Dogs allowed.
This is a local Kittery beach that is nice for walks. Some areas have a lot of seaweed, but it’s a beautiful beach and not very crowded. Note that there is limited parking for non-Kittery residents and police will ticket if you’re parked in a Kittery resident marked spot.
Our favorite beach; nice walk out to a point of land with spectacular views of the Maine and New Hampshire coast. Dogs allowed in summer before 10 AM and after 5 PM. Parking for non-residents is the first lot on the road leading to the beach. Pay attention to the signs (so you don't get a parking ticket). Carry in - carry out! No bathroom facilities.
