Manatees love to hang out in these warm waters once the temperature starts to drop. Great place to view them for free!
FREE. Seasonal, Nov. - April 15. During cooler weather manatees are drawn to the warmer water created by the steam from the Tampa Electric plant. 2 nice boardwalks for viewing.
During the winter, you can see so many manatees here! Check out their live webcam before heading up there.
Protected marine reserve with a 50-ft. observation tower, trails, a boardwalk & butterfly gardens.
Watch dozens of Florida Manatees enjoying the warm waters generated by the TECO power plant on Tampa Bay. A beautiful example of nature and industry living in harmony! A kid and family favorite!
During the winter months (Sept. - March) , the manatees come into the warm waters near the power plant. There is a great little museum with an outdoor viewing area!
This is a rare chance during a few short months of the year to see manatees! You can even have a chance to pet a stingray...and it's all free.

“If you enjoy fishing, kayaking, biking or taking a walk, this place is great! They also have a couple kids parks and a beach area. If you don’t own a kayak they will rent you one here for only $25 for 4 hours. Entry fee per car is only $2 ! Love this place:)”
