Constructed in 1854 of smooth dressed St. Marys limestone, the St. Marys Museum represents the earliest large stone residence in Town. The structure was built for the family of George Tracy, one of the Town's earliest settlers. The builder and designer was Robert Barbour of New York, while the masonry was done by local stonemasons Frank Anderson, Andrew Know and John Whimster.
