Pack your walking shoes, water and sunglasses. Prepare to be mesmerised as you walk over the brow and see the ruins of the castle. Have lunch in the tearooms on the way back.

This is a stunning hike on a remote headland, up to a castle overlooking a lake. It's a great place for a picnic on a fine day.

Time: Two to three Hours. Distance: 4 Km. Total Ascent: 150mm. Suitability: Route is easy but take care on rough ground west of the castles.
