Free entry with a suggested donation. Great place to explore--especially on a rainy day. Can get touristy. I recommend going early or late.

This is such a large and magnificent museum that even on crowded days you can find areas that are quiet such as the African art galleries. Go early in the day for the best viewing of popular exhibitions. New York is lucky to have such a fantastic Museum with so many Masterpieces. I do think it would…

NYC Staple of a Museum. Beautiful walk through Central Park if you are in the mood. The roof top is also lovely at the Museum. You can enjoy a drink and view the outside installation if there is one at the time of your visit.

Basically a huge maze- so so many masterpieces, it's a great place to explore. It is impossible to see everything in one visit, so I suggest you grab a map and select a floor or two to wander around.

The biggest and most famous museum on these shores. Not one to miss, and just next to Central Park for a combined day's touring.

Its huge, you need more than 1 day to see everything in this museum. Its amazing, breathtaking, full of surprises. Very economical, you can donate whatever you like for entrance. Must see!

You could literally spend all day here and not see everything. Art from all over the world is kept here from every era in history.

If you’re an Art buff! The Met presents over 5,000 years of art from around the world for everyone to experience and enjoy. The Museum lives in three iconic sites in New York City—The Met Fifth Avenue, The Met Breuer, and The Met Cloisters.

The MET is vast and is also the perfect place to take a break from running around in the city. It's so vast it's easy to get lost or to just rest your feet.

“Their permanent collection is incredible, they have Starry Night by Van Gogh. Check their website for what's currently showing. They have free Fridays, so check the website for the time too!”

Parque
“A walk, peddle, or carriage ride through the crisscrossing pathways of Central Park is a must-do on anyone's New York City itinerary. In winter, you can even lace up your skates and glide across Wollman Rink. This huge park in the city center, a half-mile wide and 2.5 miles long, is one of the things that makes New York such a beautiful and livable city. Besides being a great place to experience a little nature, Central Park has many attractions within its borders, and most of them are free, making it one of the few cheap things to do in NYC. Some of the most popular places to visit include the Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, the Central Park Zoo, and the Lake. If you are exploring the park on your own, start by picking up a map at one of the visitor centers and plot your routing.”

“Times Square is the most iconic area of the city. While it is always crowded, first time visitors shouldn't miss the bright lights. This location is even more exciting after the sun goes down and you can really appreciate all the chaos.”
