town basin, cafe restaurants art gallery at reyburn house. shops for gifts.Claphams clock museum. numerous eating places. do the circuit walk. loose half a day and enjoy the lovely scenery

There are a variety of cafes/restaurants at the Town Basin. Plus you can walk around The Loop which is approximately 4.2kilometres around the Hatea River and you get to walk over the popular Te Matua a Pohe (Maori Fishhook) Bridge.
