Portsea pier is situated at the far western tip of the Mornington Peninsula. Portsea pier has two platforms for visitor use. This pier is popular with divers and is well known for sightings of Weedy Seadragons. Patchy beds of Amphibolis antarctica make this a popular calamari fishing spot with outdoor seats for convenience. Peer into the waters from the pier to spot rays gliding along the seabed or go diving around the pier’s wooden beams to catch glimpses of rare sea creatures. Take a seat on the historic wooden pier and enjoy a picnic while enjoying the stunning Port Phillip Bay views. Drop a fishing line off Portsea pier and try your luck reeling in snapper or squid.
