Beautiful Santa Barbara Beach but, parking can be hard to find here.

Officially named "Arroyo Burro Beach Park," this beach is just a ten minute drive along the Coast from downtown Santa Barbara. Hendry's is secluded by towering cliffs and a curving coastline. Surfers and children vie for territory as the waves tumble into shore. Hendry's is centrally located to a great deal of other fun. Eling's Park is a half mile up Las Positas so you will often see paragliders launching from nearby cliffs. A centerpiece of the beach is the Boathouse Restaurant and a snack bar. Amenities: Accessible Features, Dog Wash, BBQs, Grass Park, Lifeguard, Picnic Tables, Restaurant, Restrooms, Showers, Trails Activities: -Beachcombing, Beach Walking, Bodyboarding, Fishing, Hiking, Sunbathing, Swimming -Dog Policy: Dogs allowed off leash on the beach east (left as you face the ocean) of Arroyo Burro Creek, and on-leash in the rest of the beach and park

The DOG BEACH! If you love dogs, you will love Hendry's. There are usually a lot of dogs running around here having the time of their lives. Off leash is allowed to the east of the parking lot. West of the parking lot is not for dogs. This is 5 minute drive or 2 mile walk down the sand from the cottage when the tide is 3.5 feet or less. There is generally ample parking in the lot as well.

Henry’s (aka Arroyo Burro beach): A locals beach. To the left there are a ton of dogs with their owners and to the right you have more sunbathers and beach combers. Good for people-watching, and easy to get to. The Boathouse restaurant is a good place to grab a drink at happy hour.
