The East Bay Regional Park area is quite beautiful. Lots of hiking, nature, animals and general relaxation.
Beautiful paved walking, biking trail with views of the Carquinez Straights, surrounded by hills and trees. Hard core enthusiasts can walk or bike to Port Costa even Crockett.
There are hundreds of miles of trails maintained by East Bay Regional Parks. West Coast Villa is on Independent School Road which is in the middle of trails, including Five Canyon Open Space, Bay Area Ridge Trail, and Cull Canyon Regional Recreation Area. There are numerous loop trails and in / out trails. We often see deer, wild turkeys, and numerous small creatures.
