Located on the north bank of the Douro River, in the municipality of Gondomar, the sandy beach of Melres extends, forming Praia Fluvial de Melres, one of the three beaches in this municipality. It has good infrastructure. It is notorious the lack of a bar or restaurant to support the beach, however it has other support structures. You can count on the presence of a car park, bathrooms and a playground for children to have fun during the day. There is also a cement football field for fans of team sports. It has an extensive green area to spread your towel or have a picnic. Localizada na margem norte do rio Douro, concelho de Gondomar estende-se o areal de Melres, formando a Praia Fluvial de Melres, uma das três praias deste concelho. Não tão conhecida como a Praia Fluvial da Lomba e a Praia Fluvial de Zebreiros que se situam ambas em Gondomar. É dotada de boas infraestruturas. É notória a falta de um bar ou restaurante de apoio à praia contudo possui outras estruturas de apoio. Pode contar com a presença de um parque de estacionamento, casas de banho e um parque infantil para que as crianças se possam divertir durante o dia. Existe também um campo de futebol em cimento para os amantes de desportos coletivos. Possui uma extensa área verde para estender a sua toalha ou fazer um piquenique.
