The largest body of water in Herefordshire which is managed by the Wildlife Trust. The River Lugg borders the site making it a good place to spot otters at dawn and dusk. You can picnic and stroll through beautiful orchards as well as river and lakeside meadows. A public hide allows you to enjoy views of the birds and other wildlife in the refuge.

Lovely walks around a old quarry which has been made into a lake.

Bodenham Lake is an important overwintering and breeding area for birds and other aquatic wildlife, so approximately half of the site is managed as a wildlife refuge with restricted public access. More than 160 species of birds have been recorded at this important site The Nature Reserve is a good place to see otters (especially at dawn and dusk), great crested grebes, cormorants and kestrel (often seen in the orchard). 2015 sightings also included hobby and lesser redpoll.

Pretty walk around the lakes; can be combined with a visit to the nearby Queenswood Arboretum.
