Beautiful place to spend a late afternoon, followed by a dinner at Rong Si, by the river (Booking is a must). Great atmosphere, far from the Bangkok malls agitation.

Large Chinese marchant mansion very well restored and turned into heritage museum. Free of charge entrance, many interesting features well explained (for those not familiar with Chinese whereabouts). There’s few art exhibitions and souvenir shops as well as high end restaurant (cheaper ones are available too). Well worth crossing the river to Thonburi side.

The brand lineup ensures that this will be a favorite shopping destination of moneyed hipsters. Zettino provides men’s leather goods, Hummingbird sells beautifully decorated plants, and Studio is showcasing Chinese design-inflected furniture.
