Managed by the National Trust property Glastonbury Tor is known as " one of the most spiritual sites in the country" A steep walk to the top but certainly worthwhile on a clear day. The remains of St. Michael's 14th century church sits on top of the Tor which is 158m high. Glastonbury has many quirky shops to browse, a good selection of cafes. During lockdown several artists set to work and have painted a mural trail which is an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

A magical place to visit whilst you are in Somerset. Take a picnic and treat your leg muscles to a walk up this very steep hill to visit the Tor. There is such a special and indescribable feeling that comes with being in Glastonbury. At the bottom of the Tor there is the Chalice Well where a natural spring gently pours out of the wall - take a bottle with you and collect some water - it is so high in iron you will taste it! Glastonbury is a 20-25 minute drive from Forge Cottage.
