Great visitor center - lots of info, helpful staff (many are volunteers), sweet gift shop, bathrooms, clean and open, lovely views of Mount Pisgah, and free parking. Great place to catch the Grey Line bus tour of Asheville and get the tour schedule and stops.

At the Visitor Center, pick up a map for a walking tour of Asheville. Guides you to over a dozen historic spots, each marked with a plaque plus a piece of statuary. A great way to explore the town!
