This is where my grandparents would take my parents for dinner when they were feeling fancy. Amazing food & rustic atmosphere. 5 minutes up the road in Johsnville.

A bit farther, but the food is worth the drive. Plus, you can head up early and visit the P.umas Eureka State Park before dinner.

Open only half the year, The Iron Door is a Plumas County treasure. Wonderful gourmet meals in a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

Located in Historic Johnsville in an over 100-year-old structure. In 1961 The Iron Door was established as a restaurant. Expect a fine dinning experience, impeccable service, delicious appetizers, and creative entrees. Dinner served from 5 pm nightly (closed Tuesdays). Open from May to the last Sunday in October. Reservations Recommended. 836-2376.
