“Less than 10 mins drive from The Nook. A beautiful arboretum with something to look at all year round. There is a car park (small fee), cafe, take away hatch, toilets and shop. If you're really lucky you might see some wild deer. One of our favourite places. ”

“The De Koffie Pot is a coffee house overlooking the riverside courtyard at The Left Bank Village, which overlooks the river. The cafe also serves food with emphasis on local, organic, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. By evening it is a bar where you can make merry on the hay bales around the fire pits on the courtyard. The decor in the coffee house is Dutch-inspired and there is often live music at this venue.”

“The museum traces the history of drinking water from the cave-dwellers up to the present day through wonderful working engines, superb display panels, guidebooks and films and the knowledge shared by the Museum’s volunteers. Classified by English Heritage as "a site of clear national importance", the Museum is home to the oldest working triple-expansion steam engine in the UK and probably has the widest range of working pumps and engines.”

“This is the place for beef lovers, many different cuts of Hereford beef, all delicious and tender. We go there for family celebrations. It's very popular and booking ahead is essential though you can get lucky with a cancellation.”
