A little towards downtown but a great place to walk around and enjoy a sunset over the river. Also across the bridge on a hill there is a GREAT photo spot with Richmond skyline as background. Very lively and nice area. There is also Belles Isle that you can walk. You can spend quite a lot of time exploring this area.

Fun walk path over the river and crosses over to a loop where you can check out people "rock" climbing. Great view of the city with history tied in along the way.

A little hard to find parking but worth it... try going close to sunset and enjoy the amazing view.

Great views of the James River with the Manchester climbing wall on the south side. Watch for rapids kayakers!
