Founded on this spot in 1849, the factory of tiles and ceramics Viúva Lamego is now in Sintra, but the shop remains with its landmark façade. The hand-painted works have decorated spaces like Lisbon's subway stations and Porto's Casa da Música concert hall, and are exported all over the world. The pieces at this shop reproduce motifs from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Custom orders are accepted.
