The Priest's Leap is a narrow mountain pass that leads from Bonane into County Cork. It is a historical landmark and local legend states that it is the spot where a miracle happened in which a priest pursued by soldiers escaped by a miraculous leap of his horse from the mountainous Kerry border into Bantry which is marked with a cross. The Priest's leap mountain pass drive and cycle is a 40 Km (25 Miles) stunnningly scenic road trip and physically testing cycle over Irelands highest mountain pass at 465 meters (1500 ft) from Coomhola in County Cork to Bonane in County Kerry and is truly one of Irelands hidden jems.
