River Ranch Restaurant is a mountain joy. Lunch outdoors overlooking the river rapids is always a great experience. It's a short drive from Tahoe City going towards Olympic Valley/Truckee. Alternatively, you can bike along the river on the paved bike trail from Tahoe City "stop for lunch" and continue onto Olympic Valley. The trail follows the edge of the river and is well maintained with "porta-pottys" along the way, if needed.

Iconic location on the Truckee River. This place is not only a fun atmosphere but the food is really good! Make reservations in advance, especially during busy seasons. During the rafting season, the rafting companies let out at the “The Ranch”. Fun place to gather after a day on the river!
