新寮瀑布是冬山河的源頭,步道總長度900公尺約三十分鐘腳程，即可聽得到潺潺水聲，並且見識到250公尺氣勢非凡的瀑布喔！新寮瀑布步道之所以受歡迎，並不難理解，因為風景美，路程又短，容易親近，是一條大眾化的路線，老弱婦孺都不會覺得有負擔，可以走得相當輕鬆。
