Gaby Lindsey, alongside her husband, Jesse, brought a taste of Argentina to Athens in 2011 with Viva! Argentine Cuisine. Their inspiration came through Gaby's mother, Elena Krapf, who grew up in Buenos Aires. Winners of the 2015 Taste of Athens people's choice award, Viva! features several authentic Argentine dishes like hand rolled empanadas, Lomo con Papa Fritas and Pastel del papa, which is a mouthwatering Argentine Shepherd's Pie. They also serve up fantastic grilled steak, chicken and sausage. And Gaby's homemade cupcakes are legendary. Located in the Bottle works building on the edge of downtown, the fun, loving spirit of Gaby and Jesse shines through their vibrant dining room and outdoor patio area, where beer and wine are also available.
