Among the more popular places to cycle in Rehoboth, the Junction and Breakwater Trail is a 6-mile-long path on the southwestern side of Cape Henlopen State Park. This trail holds a lot of history, as it is placed along the former Penn Central Rail Line that was used in the mid-1800s. It was the third rail trail built in Delaware and still stands as the longest in the state. Along the trail, you can cross the 80-foot-long railroad bridge to observe the coastal wetlands and the World War II observation tower. There are tons of stopping off points, so you can decide how far you want to travel. This customization makes the trail ideal for any skill level. There are plenty of shaded areas for you to cool off.
