Wolf Springs Ranch is one of Colorado’s largest ranches, nestled under the high peaks of Colorado’s Sangre de Cristo Mountains and extending across both Huerfano and Custer counties. Wolf Springs Ranch is its own vista, with 85± square miles of deeded ground rising from valley floors at elevations of between 7,500 and 9.500 feet, boasting 18,800± acres of the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness area. This ranch’s vast terrain varies from Pine-timbered canyons to Pinon-dotted mesas to rolling grass plains, providing the ideal habitat for all types of Colorado wildlife as well as cattle, bison and horses. This historic and iconic ranch provides some of the finest big game, elk & deer hunting the American West has to offer, with an estimated resident elk herd of over 1,000 ± in residence across the acreage. The ranch is a true sportsman’s paradise as is currently enrolled in the Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s “Ranching for Wildlife” program, which allows the ranch to set its own hunt.
