About a mile from the Falkirk Wheel, this former Roman fort and the remains of the Antonine Wall inspire the imagination. Very good for dog walking.

A great place to visit the most northern frontier of the Roman Empire. Rough castle is one of the forts situated on the Antonine wall. It has lots of information boards and can easily be linked with a walk to the Falkirk wheel
