The port of Palamós evokes a history of French, Turkish, English or Italian, always seafaring resonances, which tells us about the origins and evolution of the town, in times of great splendor. Currently the port of Palamós is the sea port of the counties of Girona and is the third most important port of all Catalonia in commercial, fishing, tourist and cultural dimension. The main product of fishing in Palamós is the prized red shrimp (Aristeus antennatus), which a specialized fleet of boats brings to the fish market daily. The Fishermen's Association of Palamós and the City Council of Palamós promote the Gamba de Palamós Guarantee Mark to ensure the origin, traceability and quality of the product, from the boat to the final consumer.

Poble de la costa dedicat a la pesca amb llotja de peix i venda. Té molts restaurants de peix i marisc, paelles etc. Allà trobareu la famosa gamba de Palamós

Viu l'arribada de les barques de pesca a la tarda amb tota mena de peixos i gambes espectaculars. A prop, aprofita i visita el Museu de la Pesca.
