- Carmichael House and East End House: One on either side of the Carmichael Estate these two buildings are both in different states of ruin. Carmichael house has been roofless since the 1950s but remains a substantial ruin of an H plan country house built in the mid 18th century. East End is a Georgian country house built around a much older 16th century square keep in a dilapidated condition having been abandoned somewhat later in the late1980s or early 1990s. Both feature garden landscaping and Carmichael faces into a hidden valley with a well. Continuing the walk from East End you can find a hidden mausoleum off the path too.
