The Singapore Sling, widely regarded as the national drink of the country, was first created in 1915 at the Long Bar in Raffles Singapore, you should try and I believe you will love it, 10 min taxi

A Colonial-Era bar nestled in the Raffles Hotel. This is where the Singapore Sling was invented (fun fact: for Hemingway's wife). Do note that drinks are pricey – think $30 for a cocktail. It's worth checking out, if not imbibing.
