The best kept secret in Huntington Beach and underused Nature Center and trails. Beautiful Nature Center in the middle of a secluded park. Go for a walk, jog, quick hike; bring the kids and pets!

Walking through Shipley Nature Center is a ‘Sense-sational’ experience….the sounds of critters skittering in the brush, the fragrance of the Redwoods and Sages, the feel of the breeze on your face, the sight of a Great Blue Heron landing on Blackbird Pond.

A great nature center for kids to learn and interact. My family would visit every month or so.

Great fenced reserve to see indigenous plants to Southern California. Have occasionally caught glimpses of members of two coyote packs that live here. Hours are limited that they are open because its free and operates off of volunteers mostly I believe.
