Originally the main square of the walled city, it is dedicated to the French effort to build the Canal. An obelisk with a rooster on top is at the center. The French Embassy is right across from it.

Another very nice place to visit with some spectacular views across the bay to Paitilla and the cinta costera and to the Amador Causeway.

La placa de Francia se encuentra en la calle 1 y calle 3. Encuentras el monumento que honra a los 22000 trabajadores e ingenieros que murieron construyendo el canal cuando la obra estaba a cargo de los franceses.
