Chiko chefs Danny Lee and Scott Drewno have revived the fire-damaged Mandu space on 18th Street by installing a modern Korean pub that serves pork shank stew, 100-day kimchi, and fried chicken with three sauces (jujube mole, white barbecue, gochujang).

Serves Korean bar food with a refined touch: e.g. seafood fried rice with buttered kimchi. Open for takeout, delivery, and indoor dining. A small patio out front offers a four-course tasting menu.

Rated the #1 restaurant in DC last year and with delivery through Caviar as an option due to the pandemic, Anju has become much more accessible. Dine-in (with reservation) and take out also available. One of my favorite restaurants! Favorites include Ddukbokgi (chewy rice cakes) and the Saengseon Gui (pan fried branzino) and Sweet Lotus Root.
