Great for walking, running, or biking. Flat gravel trail, starts in downtown York and goes the whole way into Maryland.

The Heritage Rail Trail is our favorite bike path in the area. Point-to-point, the trail is almost 50 miles (from York PA to Cockeysville, MD). The trail breaks up in York city (north of the York City Parking lot), so we like to park at York City Parking lot (or further south at Brillhart Station), and ride south to avoid the break.
