O famoso Creme Benamôr teve a sua origem no início do século XX, mais concretamente em 1925, tendo sido seu criador um farmacêutico, Como forma de homenagear Lisboa, a cidade que viu nascer a marca, foi dada o nome de jacarandá a alguns produtos Benamôr. The famous Benamôr Cream had its origin in the early twentieth century, more specifically in 1925, having been its creator a pharmacist. As a way to honor Lisbon, the city that saw the birth of the brand, was given the name of rosewood to some Benamôr products.
