The highest restaurant in the UK at the top of Avimore Ski hill. Take the funicular up. It is perhaps more cafe than restaurant but worth it for the view. Good hearty soup, a small bar and gift shop.

40 mins drive and either the funicular railway or 30 mins walk to finish... it's not going to win Michelin stars anytime soon, but it's good solid fare and the views are amazing...plus you can walk a bit further on a very easy path you can reach the Cairn Gorm summit and cross off a Munro..
