Reivers Retreat is a newly converted cosy, self- catering house, situated in the centre of the attractive village of Norham. It is in a quiet position near the beautiful river Tweed (ideal for fishing), and within easy reach of Berwick Upon Tweed, the Scottish Borders and the outstanding Northumberland coast. Built in the 1700s the Gardener's House is set into the old Walled Garden in the stunning grounds of Arniston House, a William Adam Stately Home. A secluded, picturesque two storey house with wood burning stove for winter or glass patio doors that open onto the walled garden for summer. An 11 mile trip to Edinburgh’s first class art galleries and museums, the capital’s eclectic mix of restaurants and bars plus its boutique shopping experience all adds up to a great day out.

Curlew Cottage and Free Shepherd's Hut

Curlew Cottage, Meadshaw Farm is remote and peaceful, with stunning views of the rolling hills. It is 9 miles from the Scottish Borders town of Hawick. 1 well behaved dog is welcome. Relax in the cosy cottage, or spend an evening in front of the fire in the lovely, old shepherd's hut. Great local walks, cycle routes, dark skies and peace and quiet await you. The Roman & Reivers Route, a long distance trail, runs past the cottage to the tiny hamlet of Craik and beyond.

The Historic Dalkeith Water Tower

The water tower is a bespoke home in an historic building sensitively converted by its architect owner. The tower is located in the historic town of Dalkeith and the settlement of Eskbank. 20 minutes by car from Edinburgh airport. A bus service into Edinburgh stops every 10- 15 minutes, the bus stop is a 2 minute walk away. 25 minutes by rail to the Scottish Borders or to the centre of Edinburgh from the local Eskbank Train Station, a 20 minute walk from the tower.

Jedburgh lies on the A68 between the cities Edinburgh and Newcastle upon Tyne.

We are within half an hour's drive from the beach and railway stations. You’ll love Stichill Stables because of the views and the peaceful location. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers who have their car. We can also accommodate a child / third person if required. We are in a fairly rural location, the nearest shops, bars and restaurants being approximately four miles away in the town of Kelso in the Scottish Borders.
