Dim-sum inolvidable en Chinatown
When was the last time you had a dim sum that was so delicious you dreamt about it for weeks? On our Chinatown food tour, you’ll see the world’s first fortune cookie factory, taste different kinds of dim sum and tea, and learn how Chinese immigrants made it to the Bay.
HIGHLIGHTS
+ Stories of the Gold Rush and Chinese immigration
+ Taste food from a 100yo Restaurant
+ Sip on delicious bubble tea
+ Snack at a local bakery
+ Visit the fortune cookie factory
+ Eat a dim sum feast
+ Learn and taste all about Chinese tea
Our tasty adventure starts in the heart of Chinatown with Dim Sum. Ready to take on the day, we check out the fortune cookie factory and take a peek inside! Next, we stroll down the street of the infamous 10-cent haircut and learn how sailors journeyed here in hopes of the American dream.
But wait, the adventure doesn’t stop there! Next, we’ll check out the oldest bakery in Chinatown, a church that survived the 1906 earthquake, the oldest temples in the USA, all while sipping some delicious bubble tea.
As we approach our final hour, we head to a local tea shop and learn about the role of tea in traditional Chinese medicine with a 30-minute tasting.
Feeling warm, we head to our last stop to learn about the Gold Rush, in the exact spot it all started! Here we taste a local pork roll from one of the oldest restaurants in town.

Other things to note
Fortunately, San Francisco's weather is mostly mild year round so tours operate rain or shine. Please dress accordingly. Our route is easy, with no large hills and is handicapped accessible. There will be adult content.
Navega en un velero de campeonato
We'll sail aboard USA 76, the San Francisco challenger for the 2003 America's Cup. With a mast that reaches 11 stories high, everything is big and powerful. Participation is encouraged, and you'll get to fill active crew roles and have the opportunity to spin the coffee grinders to trim sails, take your turn at the helm, or simply sit back and enjoy the ride on this high-performance America’s Cup yacht. Each trip will operate with between 8-20 guests aboard. If we don't reach the minimum, I will contact you approximately 36 hours prior to departure to offer alternatives or issue a refund.
Other things to note
Please wear flat, closed-toe shoes with rubber soles. Dress comfortably and in layers. Gratuity for crew members is not included but is appreciated for exceptional service.
La pesca del cangrejo en el Golden Gate
We will meet at a pier in the Marina/Presidio district of San Francisco where we will be located near the Golden Gate Bridge. The views of the water will be spectacular and because of the size of the pier we will have more than enough room to spread out and try our techniques. Make sure to arrive early so you can find parking and pay for it if need be near The Warming Hut cafe.
Once all the guests have arrived we will learn to set up the equipment we will supply with a very detailed explanation of how and why we use particular gear. Once we have set up our rods, filled our bait in our traps we will learn the different forms of casting and the technique of reeling. Because we are fishing for crab there is a different approach to how you catch crab off of a rod and reel.
We will not be allowed to take home any Dungeness crab, unfortunately, because the Bay is a protected estuary. As a result we will be catching rock & red crab which are edible and delicious crabs to take home. This experience is an all weather endeavor so rain or shine we will make it happen.
Please join me as many others have to see if spending an afternoon out on the waterfront of the bay, meeting new people and learning a skill is right for you!
Great for big groups, corporate outings and team building exercises! Please inquire directly if you have 10+ people

La vida en el mar es la vida mejor
Get a taste for what an awesome experience living, working and voyaging on a sailboat can be, while viewing fantastic landmarks from the uncrowded deck, using sustainable and eco friendly wind power. Perhaps choose an evening sail, and enjoy a wonderful sunset. We will be outside only, with plenty of space, breathing clean Pacific air!
Get a little salty while we sail and chat about what it's like going far from land and crossing oceans, from endless waves and wind, to calm nights under starry skies. Get a feel for what it's like to live and thrive in a constantly moving small space, in a beautiful but unforgiving environment.
Hear what it's like to battle Tuna and Sailfish while under sail, and have the freshest sushi minutes later. And to anchor in tropical anchorages, bathe in the sea, and surf uncrowded waves right from the boat.
Ask as little or as much as you like about surviving storms, living in foreign countries, meeting great cruising friends, and unplugging from normal living to find another path. Perhaps, ask how you can get started yourself.
Spend time aboard a beautiful, ocean-going yacht that has provided a safe and peaceful haven for her crew over the span of two decades in a green, earth friendly fashion.

San Francisco surrealista: tour con historias fantásticas
PLEASE NOTE: this is NOT a regular walking tour.
It’s an edgy, OUTRAGEOUS, uniquely San Franciscan experience.
Have a few laughs with STORYTELLER-EXTRAORDINAIRE Clyde Always, former headliner at these local venues: the Marsh Theater, the Lost Church and Café International.
You’ll be dazzled by many of Clyde’s own modern MYTHS, LEGENDS, FABLES and FOLKLORE. Hear about witches and wisemen, hipster-emperors and ferocious beasts--bring your imagination.
If you're partial to RHYME, it's a wonderful time!
In between these zany stories, your host will be pointing out various dives, murals, coffeehouses, landmarks, shops and stunning Victorians—no shortage of GRAMMABLE PHOTO-OPS, here.
Miles away from the rest of the tourists, you’ll get some insider knowledge of three of the City’s hippest neighborhoods—the MISSION, the CASTRO and the HAIGHT.
Looking for FUN things to do and DELICIOUS things to eat? Clyde’s got the hot tips.
BE WARNED! Your host is a fast-talker and he may tell you a few phony “facts.” Take anything he says with a grain of salt.
If you’re offended by PROFANITY, soap will be provided (but bring your own water).
Scared of heights? Rest easy—the route involves NO HILL CLIMBING!
This stroll is guaranteed to ENTERTAIN, enliven and uplift both visitors and locals alike.
**Please, for PRIVATE GROUPS, DM to check availability before booking. **

Great for families, friends and ideal for groups, company off-sites and team-building. This breathtaking 2 mile walking tour of San Francisco's hidden stairways is the #1 rated Airbnb Experience in the Bay Area, loved by both locals and tourists alike.
See gorgeous mosaic tiled steps and hear the stories behind them, then take in stunning 360° views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park and downtown San Francisco. You'll also discover beautiful neighborhoods and gardens that many locals are not aware of and that tourists rarely see.
Oh, and you might even go home with a succulent!
I'll provide commentary, context and some history along the way.
By booking this tour you are helping preserve and maintain these gorgeous stairs as I make annual donations to both projects.
Generally SF is dry May-October. There can be fog in the summertime, mostly in the morning. Temps rarely above 70F (21C) or below 50F (10C). Rain may cancel.
It will be necessary to carry small children as strollers are not suitable. If you bring a guest that’s under 18, it’s your responsibility to make sure the activities they participate in are age-appropriate.

Cerámica en la Misión
We will start with some of the interesting history of the studio space. Then I will get you situated on the wheel and show you how to properly secure your lump of clay. After the clay is secured we start the wheel spinning nice and fast. I will show you how to center the clay which is a very important (and frustrating) stage of making pottery on the wheel. After we successfully center the clay, you will explore how the clay moves and reacts to your touch. We will work to form a simple shape such as a bowl or cup. To finish off we will do some clean up of the form and remove the piece from the wheel in order to start experimenting with the next piece. You can expect to get to practice with around 6 lumps of clay (more if you are ambitious) and most people will create 2-3 pieces by the end of the session.
Pieces will be professionally finished, fired, and glazed after the experience. This process takes at least 3 weeks. After the pieces are finished you can pickup in the studio or they can be shipped. Shipping costs are paid by the guest.
Other things to note
Come wearing clothes that you don't mind getting messy. We will provide aprons. If you have long hair plan to have a hair tie or a way to secure your hair back. Trim long nails if you are able.

Following quiet backroads and footpaths, we visit quiet groves of ancient redwood trees and follow spring-fed creeks to natural pools and cascading falls. In this peaceful forest, unique to the northern California and southern Oregon coastal region, the sequoia sempervirens soar hundreds of feet into the sky, providing an unequaled nature experience at base of mighty Mt. Tamalpais. Along the way, you learn about the coastal redwoods' amazing ecology and their clever adaptations for survival over many millions of years. It is a remarkable escape into nature on the slopes of beautiful Mt. Tam.

Weekday guests need to catch the 7:35AM ferry from San Francisco arriving at 8:05AM. Weekend ferry guests need to catch the 12:05PM Golden Gate ferry from the terminal behind SF's Ferry Building (foot of Market St.) The ferry arrives in Sausalito at 12:35PM. I will meet all Sausalito guests outside the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce, 22 El Portal, next to the Inn Above Tide.
