We will bike on our local country roads while enjoying stops in vineyards, walking through 160 year old wine caves and even, during the harvest season, we enjoy tasting the grapes and testing the sugar levels. All our experiences are geared towards each small group's needs and wants. We will enjoy a private lunch at one of the wineries, a behind the scenes cheese tasting (exclusively offered to our guests every day but Sundays and Mondays) and more. The wineries we pick are diverse and the route is designed to show our guests what Sonoma has to offer. Other things to note Our locally guided experience includes the lunch, waters, and the behind the scenes cheese tasting and tour but does NOT include the tasting fees which typically run between $35-45 average per winery.

After arriving, guests will enjoy a short time of introductions. After being introduced to the space and to each other, I will provide a quick demonstration on the pottery wheel with a small amount of clay. Afterwards, each guest will be allowed time to create a piece on the wheel from beginning to end with personal instruction and assistance from me. Guests are welcome to make anything they would like to on the wheel! Cup, bowl, vase, dish, etc. The firing of pottery is a long process that is separate from the time we spend on the wheel. Each piece requires two 8-10 hour monitored sessions in a kiln, and I hand glaze each piece. I offer kiln services out of my personal studio if you have interest in having your piece fired for a small fee that is not due the day of the experience. I do not include this in the price of the experience because some guests do not wish to keep their piece. *The time noted on the experience, 2 hours, is generally descriptive of a 2 person experience which encompasses the majority of my bookings. In general, the experience is 1 hour per person. If there are 3 or 4 people in the booking, likely the experience will extend the 2 hour session time, and if there is 1 person in the booking it will be closer to an hour. Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting some clay on. Clay will wash out, but you may not want to go out right after.

Due to Covid we are trying to somewhat limit class size and trying to control classes on a class by class basis. You may book experience here or contact through Airbb Experiences to setup your private class time. We are Covid conscious and sterilize between classes, have masks and gloves available. In this class you will create your own all natural soy scented candles and learn the basics of candle making. As A chandler ( candle maker) I will walk you through the process of formulating your perfect scent. Use one of our 60+ all natural phthalate free fragrances or blend your own custom scent. Three soy candles. One 8 oz and two 4 oz. Classes are approximately 2 hours Typical Workshop: Check In/Mixer - Introductions, safety and Introduction to Candle Making -Fragrance Exploring, mixing, Pouring -Create custom label (my favorite part) add botanicals, Mingle and Hang While Your Candle Cools Other things to note Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to get settled. We’ll start with a stroll through the beautifully manicured gardens of Cornerstone Sonoma and an idyllic vineyard for a firsthand look at the vines. As we walk the rows, We’ll share why the iconic Sonoma Valley is the perfect place to winegrapes. Then, we’ll sit to create unique blends from wines that have been aged in separate barrels to craft your own red blend using Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec Petit Verdot and/or Cabernet Franc to place your own signature style into a Bordeaux based red blend. Each person will hand-cork their own bottle of wine and take it home to share. No previous wine experience is necessary - perfect for all levels of wine experience and interest. Other things to note: You'll blending will be guided by one of our knowledgeable team members. Bring comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and a camera. 1. You'll be introduced to the site, Halleck Vineyard, and a bit about its history in Sonoma County. You will be introduced by the vintner to the land and the vines. 2. We will sit down and learn how to taste: why do we smell to begin? what does our tongue taste? what is the reason and benefit in pairing wine with food? 3. We will go through 7-8 wines along with 5-6 food pairings, all from the neighborhood and explore how different they taste and the nuances of each. And we'll taste different pairings and how they each bring something to the experience. 4. We'll learn about wine in human history, 8000 years in the making. 5. We talk about building community through wine, how we convert wine into good for our world. 6. You'll meet interesting people and how much we share in common. 7. This will be a fun and inexpensive wine tasting experience in Napa Valley, directed by a true Napa local. This wine tour experience will be in upper valley Napa (St. Helena, Calistoga, Rutherford). I'll drive you to two wineries (that I make reservations for and pick-out based-upon your wine tasting preferences). In addition, will stop by 1-2 beautiful spots in Napa for photos. Riding our environmentally responsible, road-safe electric trikes, we will take you to areas of Sonoma that most locals aren't even aware of! Guests will come to my jewelry studio and make a completely unique piece of sterling silver jewelry. Join us for a 2 hour guided session, beginners welcome. I have the workbenches, tools, soldering equipment, silver and hundreds of semi-precious gemstones to create a piece to take home with you. Stones are an additional cost - this price covers the cost of the 2 hour jewelry making lesson - the stones are in addition and range in price from $15-97. Our space can host up to 10 makers, it is a fun and rewarding to design and create a beautiful piece of jewelry. Members of your group will connect as they share their stone choices, designs and the final pieces. Learn about dozens of types of stones, find one that speaks to you and create a ring, bracelet, pendant necklace or earrings. Finish the session with refreshments. We'll provide sparkling water, you can bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy if you wish.

In this super-charged BRUNCH class, I’ll teach you how to make an easy homemade sourdough bread from scratch without the hassle of a sourdough starter. You will enjoy this bread several ways for brunch alongside other dishes. Besides the bread, we’ll also make fresh ricotta cheese, tartines, and perfect French omelets—made with Petaluma’s famous eggs. The experience will be hands-on and you will learn some valuable cooking skills and tips in this robust class—and at the end of the class you’ll get to take home the loaf of bread you baked, to enjoy later as a delicious souvenir. This is a great class for beginners, or intermediate bakers, as well as for people who want to learn many general cooking tips, and who want to enjoy a delicious 4-course brunch with a complimentary glass of California bubbly. The main purpose to do this course is to encourage people to have bees ( they are good, trust me) - Full basic beekeeping class and training. - Honey tasting - Explore hive, internally and externally - Learn about the honey bee life cycle - Look up honey bee queen, drone, and workers - Honey extraction( depends on the season and honey flow time ) - Learn how to start and maintain a hive in your backyard This unique hands-on experience is the best way to learn about the importance of honeybees! We will suit up and open up the hive to see how bees live, work, and produce honey. You will definitely leave with greater knowledge tt and understanding of our pollinator friends and the inner workings of a honeybee colony. - There’s no toilet onsite, you can go to the Bolinas town for that reason.
