Whitestar Station's Palm Tree Cottage in Colville

Just outside the door, are bush & scenic walks, waterfalls,, swimming in the creek (which ranges from ankle deep to twice an adult's depth.) It's only 2-10 mins drive away from the beach, cafes, general store, farm store, art & craft shops, medical centre, library and tennis courts. There's plenty of outdoors space (1260ha of it) ... My house has lots of character and comfort and is great for pets; friends, family and club get-togethers (4 other houses are available on the farm for accommo too)

Best spot in Whangamata: 1950's beachfront bach

Set amongst pohutukawa trees, this original 50's holiday house is located right on Whangamata beach. Enjoy unobstructed views of the ocean from the deck and huge front lawn. The famous Whenuakura (Donut Is.) is opposite as well as Hauturu Motu (Clark Is.), accessible on foot at low tide - a Kiwi rite of passage. Minutes to the local shops, bars and cafes and a short walk to the nearest convenience store. A great children's playground can be found at Island View Reserve at the end of the road.

Escape to a lovely tranquil setting in this romantic eco based retreat surrounded by nature situated only 1.5 hours from Auckland. Perfect in any weather. Situated at the start of the Kauearanga Valley with numerous bush walks and river swimming nearby. Close to the rail trail for biking or into town for a coffee.
