Idle Speed- The Ultimate Lake Lure Escape!

As of now, Lake Lure is not expected to be open for boating and/or swimming by summer 2025 as lake recovery and cleanup efforts are still ongoing. However, our home is good to go and ready to host. We have just reduced our rates and minimum booking nights to reflect the expected conditions. The house remains a wonderful place for gathering and creating memories. The lake and mountains are still as beautiful as ever. Thank you for your continued support of such a special small town.

Willows Edge (Resort & Bald Mtn Lake Access)

Welcome to our lakehouse on Bald Mountain Lake, located at Rumbling Bald Resort. We provide a Sea Eagle boat with electric motor, 2 SUPs and 2 kayaks. Home has a fireplace and hot-tub. Large, flat back yard with fire-pit. 5 minute walk to Buffalo Creek Park. Miles of hiking trails. Resort amenities include 2 golf courses, restaurants, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, sauna. Our property was impacted by Hurricane Helene in Sept 2024. Details in description below.

Lakefront Escape • Hot Tub • Stunning views

Due to Hurricane Helene, Lake Lure is unavailable for boating/swimming this summer. Paddle boarding and kayaking are at your own risk. The lake is 10–15 feet low, and the waterslide is not operational. Other amenities like the hot tub, decks, fire pit, BBQ grill, and scenic views are still available, and local attractions are reopening. This home usually rents for $500–$900/night, but we’re offering a discount during recovery. Thank you for your understanding!

Lodge on Grey Log Cove

This is a new custom built log home. It has a wonderful Lodge feel with a hint of the West and South West. It has custom cabinets, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, new mattresses, a wonderful living room, with an electric fireplace and flat screen tv with Dish. The basement has a great living room area, and lots of things to do....Foosball, pool, ping pong, air hockey, etc. PLEASE, NO PETS. A violation fee will apply for non compliance.
