Centrally located in the foothills of the Blueridge Mountains and easy drives to Asheville 90 minutes, Charlotte 75 minutes, Blowing Rock 40 minutes, 65 minutes to Grandfather Mountain State Park and 80 minutes to Sugar Mountain ski resort. There are numerous hiking trails and waterfalls. Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain offer skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. There is exceptional mountain biking as close as 8 miles from the house. Zip lines and other attractions near by.

Although rural this home is only 4 miles from interstate 40! Approx an hour from Asheville and Charlotte.

It has a heated indoor pool so even in the winter time you can enjoy the water with view of the lake. There is a dock as well. So if you happen to want to enjoy the lake, you can. The house has its own boat ramp so if you want to bring your own boat you can. If not there are places to rent them from. Hope you come and enjoy our piece of paradise.

Under a 10 minute drive to quaint downtown Hickory with plenty of shopping and historical districts nearby. Stay in and cook a warm meal while relaxing indoors or step out outside and have a seat on the bench under the covered front porch. Listen to the birds singing while flying about in the nearby tree. We personally live close to the property and will be available if you need us.

You are welcome to bring your own boat/jet ski and secure it to our dock. Relax and enjoy watching wildlife from your private deck. Hickory’s new River Walk (which winds through the woods)is directly across the lake. Charlotte, Asheville, and Boone are within one hour of the property.
