Saltwater Holiday House

Saltwater is a purpose-built holiday house located on 20 ha (50 acres) of bushland overlooking the tranquil waters of Pelican Lagoon. Completed in 2019, the house is light-filled and airy, with north-facing windows and deck capturing the winter sun and wonderful views of the lagoon and surrounding bush. The house is simply but tastefully decorated with bamboo flooring, comfortable furnishings and beds, a well equipped kitchen and spacious living area. The nearest neighbors are 1 km away.

The D'Estrees bay Shack is surrounded by the Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park, 45 minutes from the ferry at Penneshaw and 30 minutes from Kingscote. Remote, basic but comfortable and completely off grid with stand alone solar and rainwater. A cosy central fire adds warmth to the open plan kitchen & living areas. Emu Bay and Kingscote are a short 10 min drive away.

Duckcottage: quaint stone cottage

Duckcottage is a five room stone settlers cottage built in 1853 on five acres of bushland at Second Valley. The property is now a refuge for wildlife so it is NOT suitable for dogs or cats. We call it 'duck' cottage because of the height of the doorways. It has been lovingly restored, and the habitat for birds and native animals has been established through revegetation. The property is secluded (there are no neighbours in sight) but it is a short drive to the beach.

Sit back and relax in the gardens, cook your own pizza in the pizza oven or enjoy a glass of wine under the foliage of the established gardens. Warm yourself with the combustion fire in winter. There is fully fenced off-street parking and a solid carport.

This Marina is perfect for the keen fisherman or if you have your own boat to launch.
